We're so excited to share our first collaboration of the year! This collection brings the artistry of Shana Wanco, the designer behind Iris + Marie Letterpress, to needlepoint canvas.
Shana's work is a playful mix of groovy and dainty, bold and delicate, blending inspiration from art museums, vintage design, and everyday beauty. Her approach to creativity is refreshingly unique—she believes that art exists in everything from a wild mushroom to a Matisse, and her work reflects that joyfully eclectic perspective.

I've always admired how Shana plays with color—especially the way she designs her backgrounds, making every element feel vibrant and intentional. Meet the Designer: Shana Wanco
Shana's passion for design started at a young age, and over time, it evolved into her work with Iris + Marie Letterpress. Her brand is named after Iris, a 1920s Chandler & Price letterpress she lovingly restored, and Marie, her own middle name. The name represents both the craftsmanship behind her work and her deep connection to creativity.
Shana views her role as a designer much like that of a commissioned artist. Each piece she creates is rooted in storytelling, ensuring that no two designs feel the same. She's also a collector of vintage needlepoint canvases, a passion that has inspired her love for all things handmade. A look inside her home reveals a tapestry of artistic influence—a mix of vintage needlepoint, crewels, paint-by-numbers, and cross-stitch pieces that reflect her appreciation for intricate, storied designs.
