Saturday, 8/8 - Round Ornament Finishing Class with Nashville Needlepointer - Jersey City Studio

Join us on Saturday, August 8th from 9 am - 1 pm for a round ornament finishing class at our Jersey City studio (278 Monmouth Street).

In this class, we will finish a round ornament all the way from start to finish. This will be a no-glue method and we will only focus on basic rounds. Ornaments must be 5x5 inches or smaller.

Each student will receive a project bag which includes matboard, batting, and craft clips. Students will be emailed a finishing guide with helpful videos after class. 

The items below will be provided by Lita for usage for the duration of the class:

• Compasses w/ pencils
• Items to make cording
• Extra Matboard
• Extra batting
• Invisible Thread
• Sewing Needles
• Sewing Pins w/ cushion
• String for lacing

Students will need to bring:

• Stitched round 4 inch canvas 
  • Blank canvas can be substituted if you don’t have an ornament ready to finish
• Scissors (craft scissors and optional fabric shears) 
• Backing fabric of your choice (fabrics with a little bit of stretch recommended)
• Perle cotton for cording in colors of your choice
  • This can be purchased in-store on the day of your class

About the Nashville Needlepointer, Lita! 

After being introduced to needlepoint in 2020, Lita immediately dove in and began stitching everything in sight. She dedicated her free time to learning everything she could about canvas designing, painting, stitching, and finishing. In 2021, she launched NDLPT Nation and did first virtual “Finish Along” for the members of NDLPT Nation and started regular stitch zooms. In 2023, she started teaching in-person classes and found passion in teaching. Since then, she’s been invited to multiple stores to teach and has had the privilege of teaching thousands of students, some of whom have launched their own finishing services.
