Studio Store Manager (Full-Time)

Morgan Julia Designs is looking for a full-time Studio Store Manager to join our growing team in sunny St. Pete, FL. Over the past year, our studio has expanded into a vibrant hub for needlepoint lovers with weekly order pickups and stitch nights. We’re looking for someone who’s not just excited about what we’ve built, but ready to help shape where we go next.
If you’re highly organized, know the ins and outs of Shopify, and love creating systems that keep both people and products flowing, this role was made for you.
What You’ll Do

Lead the day-to-day operations of the studio and storefront, including opening/closing responsibilities

Oversee all in-studio sales and online order fulfillment

Manage both retail and wholesale inventory and shipping processes

Head up our quarterly Bar Cart Club shipments and bi-annual studio sales - our busiest, most exciting times!

Maintain organized systems across Shopify, Google Sheets, and other tools

Track and manage incoming shipments to keep our studio running smoothly

Keep the studio looking clean, beautiful, and fully stocked, including displays and visual merchandising

Supervise and support a team of 4-5 employees, including schedules, training, and daily operations and ensure a safe work environment

Coordinate customer pickups and assist with in-studio customer needs with warmth and professionalism

Support and occasionally host community events like Stitch Night or Beginner Classes

Ensure smooth studio operations even in moments of high volume or shifting priorities

Must be able to lift and move boxes weighing 40+ pounds as part of regular inventory and shipping duties

Must be accessible and reachable by text outside of regular studio hours, as needed for scheduling or time-sensitive updates

Willingness to take on other related projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned
What We’re Looking For

2 years of needlepoint experience is preferred but not required - ideally you know your thread types and stitches, and can confidently explain them to customers, teach a beginner class, or lead a Stitch Night

Shopify experience is preferred - you know how to navigate, troubleshoot, and optimize it

Strong retail and/or inventory management experience

Experience managing wholesale operations is a plus

Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a remote owner, team members, and customers alike

Calm, confident leadership - you can manage different personalities, navigate challenges, and keep things on track with grace

Super organized and detail-oriented (you love a label maker and a clean countertop)
